Polyester fiber prices are picking up over anticipations of higher prices in the coming weeks. US cotton export sales have collapsed, however, due to the recent jump in prices. Spinners are far from feeling the euphoric mood of financial markets, and demand for cotton is anemic amid large inventory levels.
