Prices have bottomed out at the end of last week in the polyester chain prices in China, ahead of a long weekend. PTA and MEG could have reached a bottom, and be now supported by a sharp fall in production levels, whatever the decline in demand. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
