Polyester staple fiber prices have suddenly been raised in India, whereas staying stable in China and Pakistan. Spun polyester prices have not really moved in the meantime in the three countries. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester filament prices in China are also released, whereas the report also include a price comparison of polyester with cotton and viscose in China, and of polyester staple fibers with intermediate prices. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers in China is also released.

India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices have been further raised by Indian exporters, reflecting the new surge of cotton fiber prices on the domestic market and in New York. Prices have not been raised on the domestic market, even declining in most yarn producing states, by contrast. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends in spinners' margins. Market fundamentals are available on a monthly basis, including production and exports.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn import prices have continued rising at Chinese borders, however very slightly climbing in yuan terms, as a result of the sharp increase of the renminbi. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.

Cotton futures have continued surging in the past week in New York, with prices now back to levels which had not been seen for years. This cotton rally was not expected but may be explained by a long series of factors which we have below detailed. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Most polyester chain prices have returned back to lower levels in the past week, in line with a slight decline of crude oil prices. Paraxylene prices have however further risen in the meantime. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
