100% polyester yarn prices could further rise in the coming days in China whereas 100% viscose is expected again dropping and cotton yarn prices could stay stable whatever the rebound of cheaper cotton yarn imports. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices have slightly risen in the past week on the international market, as a clear sign that they will not fall to lower levels, eventually. With India heavily supporting its domestic prices, demand remains very strong for cheaper US cotton whereas polyester is further rising in China, and making cotton more competitive on the world market. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Paraxylene and PTA prices have risen in the last week in Asia, due to strong demand from downward polyester fiber producers whereas operating rates are also being reduced at PTA plants in order to limit losses.
