Cotton yarn prices have not risen in the last days in India, whatever the sharp rebound of cotton fiber prices. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic markets in Ludhiana (Punjab) and Indore (Madhya Pradesh), with a wide range of products and counts, including cotton yarns (carded and combed), polyester spun, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose and polyester-acrylic. Export market prices are also available for both cotton and polyester-cotton.

Polyester Fiber and Filament Yarn Prices in China (Weekly Report)

Polyester staple fiber prices are staying relatively stable in China thanks to a rise of PSF use at spinning mills. Polyester filament prices are depressed by a weaker demand, by contrast. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.

China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton yarn prices are no more moving in China, in line with the stabilization of cotton prices at lower levels. Cotton yarn production could now bottom out for the first time in five years. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared. All data are available for download.

Polyester intermediate prices have further dropped in the last week in the Far East, over lower petrochemical prices and a lack of demand from the polyester industry in China. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
