Polyester fiber prices could drop further in the coming year, as production capacities of China's PTA industry will surge by more than 20%. The consecutive fall in PTA prices may result in lower polyester prices. The polyester rally in October has triggered a rise in 100% polyester yarn prices at spinning mills in China and India, whereas yarn prices were frozen in Pakistan. However, margins have moved in different directions in the three countries.
