EU clothing imports did not experience a significant change in the level of their unit values in full last year. Unit prices declined for a series of origins in 2014, while rising for other countries. As usual, average prices may actually hide sharp differences when considering the different categories of products. Our series of comparison tables offer a comprehensive view of EU's clothing imports per HS 4-digit category with volume, value and unit price changes, while market shares are also calculated for each major supplying country. IPC’s global statistical programs for the laminate, solder, process consumables, and assembly equipment industries are now open to new participants for 2015. Statistical programs give participating IPC members access to global quarterly market data that would be impossible for them to collect themselves and prohibitively expensive for individual companies to obtain from research firms. Participating companies use this quarterly data in their marketing, sales, planning, and budgeting activities.

Polyester prices have risen in February in China whereas dropping in Pakistan and India with gross margins of spinners moving in different directions. Our monthly report compares polyester staple fiber and polyester spun yarn prices in China, India and Pakistan, in both local currency terms and US$ terms. Gross margins of spinners are also calculated on a monthly basis. Historical data back to 2007 are available for download.
