House prices in the Fraser Valley have climbed at a much faster pace in recent months - almost as quickly as in the red-hot Vancouver-area real estate market. The benchmark price of a detached house in the Valley hit $741,000 in March - up 26 per cent from $588,500 a year ago.

Australian retail veteran Solomon Lew is about to become the first Australian to be inducted into the World Retail Hall of Fame. Mr Lew, alongside American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and British perfume entrepreneur Jo Malone, will be added to the hall of fame during the 2016 World Retail Congress in Dubai in April.
