Northern Minnesota rail service resumes following derailment

Rail service was restored early Thursday morning to a line northwest of Duluth less than a day after 13 cars left the tracks about 10 miles southeast of Cotton, according to Patrick Waldron, a spokesman for the Canadian National Railway. Some of the derailed cars remain on the scene and will be hauled away later, but Waldron said the rail corridor has been reopened to traffic.
