Adjusted EBITDA after leases, which excludes the impact of new accounting rules, rose 8.3 percent to EUR 5.9 billion, and free cash flow on the same basis increased 18.1 percent to EUR 1.6 billion.

Service revenues in local currencies, excluding acquisitions and disposals, declined 2.5 percent, as market conditions remained difficult in its biggest market Sweden, offsetting growth in other countries. Adjusted EBITDA rose 3.3 percent to SEK 6.74 billion but was down 5.5 percent in local currencies, after adjusting for acquisitions and disposals.
Veon sees underlying growth improve despite negative forex effects

(Telecompaper) Veon raised its full-year outlook, forecasting stronger growth in underlying revenue and EBITDA after a good third quarter. Reported results were still down in Q3 due mainly to negative currency effects, and the forex impact will also make its free cash flow target of USD 1 billion for the year "slightly challenging", the company said.
