JOB DESCRIPTION Within the Columbus Programm the Columbus Control Center Ground Controller is responsibile for the following tasks Monitoring of the computer and network systems and related data, voice and video services Execution of realtime configuration changes Troubleshooting and lead of corrective maintenance during realtime and simulation operations Single point of contact for Ground Segment related issues with all external agencies in support of realtime operations, simulation and test activities Generation, maintenance and validation of operational, system and test procedures Verification and testing of new and modified systems and interfaces, internally and with remote sites in the United States, Russia and throughout Europe Documentation of activities, configuration changes and anomalies activity logs, test reports, anomaly reports, etc. Acquire indepth knowledge of specific subsystems and provision of basic training to team members Definition of configurations and setups for forthcoming activities, in coordination with the Ground Operations Planner and Columbus Control Center ColCC subsystem engineers Identification of space mission specific ground requirements and capabilities of which that are reflected in reference documents. The selected candidate will be trained for around 6 Months and at the end of the training heshe will need to go through a certification process. Qualifications Degree in scientific or technical field Required knowledge Satellite Communications and Ground Segment Engineering. Computer knowledge written and spoken English Ability to apply logical thought processes in analysing and troubleshooting complex systems Ability to work under stress teamworking and communication skills Ability to understand, prioritize and filter several audio sources simultaneously Experience 35 years WHAT DO WE OFFER? (Telecompaper) The Telecompaper basket of European telecom stocks gained 0.9 percent last week (week 4). Sky (+4,6%) showed the best performance on the back of its semi-annual results and several product announcements. Investors apparently shrugged off the news of the UK regulator's decision to block the planned takeover by 21st Century Fox, on fears of Rupert Murdoch becoming too influential in the UK news business. Telia (+3,5%) also fared well, after reporting Q4 results and plans to sell its Georgian subsidiary.
