Specific Tasks Provide Science and Operations IT Support to the CESAR mission by performing the following tasks Development and maintenance of all CESAR educational SW framework o maintenance of the CESAR web pages and content management o SW support for the development of interactive Scientific educational cases o maintenance of CESAR infrastructure SW e.g. control room monitoring system educational tools etc. o ensure security standards are duly applied to all CESAR SW associated developments o manage CESAR database system o development and maintenance of CESAR educational management software tools calendar tools web administration tools, databases Web interface for schools etc. IT support and hardware coordination for CESAR programme o configuration and maintenance of computers and related hardware for the CESAR project CESAR Control Rooms computers 3D printer 3D projector, network hubs, wall monitors, educational computers for training etc. o maintain CESAR regular inventory o CESAR telescopes Webcams network maintenance Multimedia content creation for CESAR Education o support the creation of a CESAR Interactive School by supporting the creation of APP and webbased interactive educational tools based on CESAR developed scientific cases o configure and manage CESAR hangout sessions for teachers workshops o continuous assessment of new potential technologies for innovative education initiatives e.g. virtual reality augmented reality robotics 3D printing etc. o CESAR Community manager coordinatorsupervisor o coordinate the development of CESAR promotional Multimedia image and videos Requirements University degree and experience in relevant fields. Experience in software programming, notably using JAVA, C, Visual Studio, APP developments IOS Android, Arduino and Web design. Experience in educational projects, notably for primary and secondary schools. Sound knowledge and experience in Multimedia edition Videos production, postproduction, image processing, CAD design, web 2.0, JavaScript, augmented reality, Proficiency in the use of Linux, Windows and iOS. Excellent organisation skills for projects execution and associated documentation. Fluency in English and Spanish. laboratory test equipment and instrumentation.

Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in Spain without the need to obtain a work visa. Only European Union EU, European Economic Area EEA and SWISScitizens can be employed by Aurora in Spain. Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. In line with ESAs security requirements, prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident, and Aurora will validate your employment history. Location It is expected that the work will be performed at the ESAC, the European Space Astronomy Centre at Villafranca del Castillo, near Madrid Spain. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class specified as E2. You will be registered for both social security and tax in Spain. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands Description Science Coordinator for Fluid Physical Sciences in the SciSpacE Team, Research and Utilization Group, Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration Programmes. Duties Under the direct authority of the Team Leader, the postholder will be responsible for inputs to programmatic and strategic planning, for the endtoend science coordination of projects in the physical sciences, and for the following tasks notably coordinating the physical sciences discipline by setting priorities, delegating scientific guidance tasks, stimulating feedback and encouraging personal growth promoting synergy and efficient collaboration with the Teams other science disciplines maintaining direct contact with the scientific community, monitoring developments in and defining the research strategy for the physical sciences defining the scientific content and priorities for research announcements overseeing initiation and management of topical teams, applied research and EC projects overseeing research projects, including relevant hardware and mission implementation steps acting as Project Scientist for selected projects representing ESA in the International Microgravity Strategic Planning Group IMSPG, coordinating international activities in the physical sciences acting as Executive Secretary for ESAs Physical Sciences Working Group PSWG and supporting the advisory groups of other ESA Directorates supporting the reporting to ESA delegate and administrative bodies supporting the promotion of results via scientific publications, organised workshops, symposia, etc. Technical competencies Knowledge of scientific discipline, including strategic vision of the area of Fluid Physical science Knowledge of large international scientific research collaborations, preferably using spacebased techniques Knowledge of space projects, including instrumentation and operations Knowledge of international scientific community Experience in supporting ESA programmesprojects and knowledge of their technical and programmatic requirements in relevant technical domains Project and technical management Behavioural competencies Ambassadorship Communication Relationship Management Systems Broader Business Thinking Teamwork Innovation Creativity Education Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant physical sciences discipline. Additional requirements Applicants should have demonstrated experience in physical sciences project management. Personal research experience in the physical sciences. Handson experience with spaceflight experiments and knowledge of endtoend implementation of ISS research. Experience of other platforms such as sounding rockets, drop towers and parabolic flight is an additional asset. Demonstrated leadership capability and a developed relationship management skills. A resultsoriented approach to working in a complex environment and a strong capacity for planning and organising tasks. Candidates should be system minded, able to work in an interdisciplinary team and have good communication skills.
