The positions We are looking for software test engineers to support various Air Traffic Control ATC projects being deployed by our customer, Deutsche Flugsicherung DFS. The positions are based onsite in Langen Frankfurt am Main. You will be working in a team which comprises developers and testers, and will take part in the full software development lifecycle. Good coordination is necessary to ensure an appropriate level of test coverage. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be around March 2020. For our customer ESO in the Munich area, Germany, we are looking for Software Test Engineers with wide technical knowledge for testing of science operations dataflow software for the ESO La SillaParanal and ALMA Observatories. The main technical focus of this role is on testing Javabased applications as well as REST APIs in JavaGroovy with a relational database or a NoSQL backend and Web interfaces in AngularTypeScript. Ondemand testing of JavaSwing desktop applications with graphical user interfaces is also required. Responsibilities Your tasks will typically include but are not limited to Test automation of JavaGroovy REST APIs with a relational database or a NoSQL backend Test automation of Web applications in AngularTypeScript Configuration and maintenance of Dockerbased deployment infrastructure Maintenance of automated build and test infrastructure Ondemand testing of desktop applications with JavaSwing graphical user interfaces is also required. Improvement of test specifications in collaboration with ESO Test plan proposal Implementation and automation of integration and functional tests Continuous integration of the test code in a running demonstration software, always updated with the latest integrated functionalities. Test reports Documentation updates This is a full time position, located at our customer in Munich area, Germany, starting in Q4 2020. Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have a university degree in computer science, physics or equivalent. The job For our activities at EUMETSAT, Darmstadt Germany we are looking for a Software System Test Engineer mfd The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the Integration, Validation and Verification IVV of a complex software systems chain used in Satellite Earth Observation Data Processing applications. The tasks will focus on the execution of the IVV activities by performing the corresponding integration and verification testing campaigns according to the agreed plans and supporting the Senior engineers on the validation of systems when performing the corresponding validation test campaigns. In more details, the activities may include among others Scheduling and executing of all the integration and verification activities Ensuring sufficiently in advance of execution that relevant procedures, tools and data are ready to be used, performing any final tuning or setup Participating in the corresponding Test Readiness Reviews TRR Performing the integration and verification activities and testing according to the plans, procedures and arrangements taken in the relevant readiness review Undertaking any required analysis of the resultsissues and recording the outcome in relevant reports, and anomaly reports Participating in Test Review Board meetings Maintaining the relevant VCD and recording the results of the tests in DOORS Supporting Anomaly Review Board ARB meetings Liaising with the development teams for technical issues related to the test execution, the communication of anomalies, the followup of their resolution and installation of patches or new releases.
