For our activities in the European Space Agency, we are currently seeking a person to support the Technical services, in French and English, required by the ESA HQ Communication Office The requirement covers four service areas Exhibition and Images Outreach and Country Desks ESAHQ Communications Office ESAHQ Internet and ESA portals Exhibitions and Images Management, maintenance and update of the ESA Professional Photo archive, including credits, titles and captions. Uploading ESA HQ produced still images and videos on the eZ ESA system as well as on the ESA channels on Corporate social media such as Flickr, YouTube others to be defined Taking care of all requests for copyright clearance for ESA still images produced and distributed by ESA, Supporting ESA internal requests, particularly from Communication Department and Directorates Responding to external professional requests from media and publishers, Applying ESAs copyright policy for still images Support andor backup of photo reporter for ESA HQ Outreach Office related activities Outreach and Country Desks Preparation, update and follow up of the production of standard material for the different events image and video selection on DVDs, ESA fact sheets, ESA General Presentation etc. Resizing images and upload through ESA web publishing system eZ, for ESA internet and intranet needs Support Video and Photo Reporter for ESA HQ Outreach Office related requests Services in the support of the ESA HQ Communication Office Providing backup on handling of journalists interview requests Providing backup for handling and publication of daily ESA press clippings On request, ensure adequate interface with the company contracted by ESA to ensure Videos Distribution and Archiving Services in the support of ESA HQ internet and ESA portal Providing training on eZ tool dedicated to HQ internet Control the multimedia element on top of the portal media web page Input ESA will provide to the contract service manager at the beginning of each year a list of the expected upcoming communication activities for which this service is to be provided. This list of expected upcoming communication activities will be updated on a quarterly basis and when required. Deliverables Management and archiving of the ESA Professional Photo archive daily Handling of external and internal image requests daily Support to corporate media relations upon request Image and video production weekly Handling of ESAs copyright issues on images daily Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require to have attaining a degree in a relevant subject, already have a number of years working experience in the Events and Exhibition environment providing similar support together with the following essential skills Excellent MS Office and web publishing skills Excellent writing skills for Web articles Excellent communication skills enabling both in, and out, of house interaction Capacity to identify priority actions and to keep high quality of work under pressure Good knowledge of ESA programmes and missions Able to take responsibilities and work in an autonomous way Fluent in English and French Desirable Skills Previous experience supporting ESA Multimedia Image Distribution is an asset.
