For one of our customers in the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Medior Software Engineer Acoustics Sonar Detavast. Tasks and Responsibilities The work can vary from designing and building realtime signal processing software and sensor performance simulation software. The systems will be tested and used in an operational environment, for example on board marine ships Converting algorithms and scientific tools into a working software product that can be used by people without scientific knowledge The emphasis will be on the development of software for complex sonar systems and analysis software for sonar applications. It concerns software in various stages of technology maturity from prototype software to operational software on board of naval vessels, from TRL 5 to TRL 9. Experience and competences University degree in technical Physics, Technical Informatics, Astronomy, or Electrical Engineering Note a screening level B is taken for this application Extensive experience in C Extensive experience in version management with eg SVN or GIT Experience with regression and unit testing Experience in product development Experience with QT, and MATLAB is a plus Experience in managing small team of programmers 23 man Demonstrable experience with signal processing software In addition to the substantive expertise, we attach great importance to communicative skills and customer and result orientation in order to work as a team towards a final result that is usable and applicable for our clients Medior means here besides being a good software engineer Candidate must be able to discuss with scientists and communicate with users Assisting foreman, work package leader Good command of the Dutch and English language.
