Telefonix Inc., a leading developer of cord reel technology and manufacturer of PowerPost commercial electric vehicle charging stations , announces the installation of 13 L2 PowerPost EV chargers at Alliant Energy headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin as part of a solar power technology research program. In order to evaluate how effective the latest solar technologies are in Wisconsin's climate, Alliant Energy is launching a solar demonstration project that will include the installation of more than three dozen unique renewable energy features over the next few years.

Available as option for Weather MicroServer which can be used with any CWS weather station model, Snow Level Sensor transmits ultrasonic pulsed sound wave through air to meet reflective object, such as snow. When sound wave makes contact with target, it bounces back toward sensor, which records time required for sound wave to travel to target and return. Using speed of sound, sensor calculates distance to object.

Google to Expand India's Internet Access With Free WiFi at Train Stations

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced a plan to provide high-speed public WiFi in 400 train stations across India. The announcement coincided with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the company's California headquarters. Modi is expected to promote his Digital India initiative during his U.S. visit. One objective of the plan is to bring high-speed Internet to rural areas of India.
