Within the Mechanical Engineering department, reporting to the head of Section Structural Analysis, you will join Mechanical Dimensioning Technical Authority team in the frame of the ARIANE 5 programmes. The mission of the Mechanical Dimensioning Technical Authority is to guarantee that the launcher primary structure meets the mechanical dimensioning requirements at launcher level. It is responsible for the coherency of the mechanical dimensioning requirements break down from launcher level to subcontracted product level. As a member of this team, you will be in charge of the monitoring of one or several structure in development metallic or composite. The main tasks are to verify the good application of the mechanical standards Design Rules and to manage the potential deviations, to guarantee that the mechanical requirements applicable to the subcontracted piece of structure are complete and optimized, especially by managing the optimization toward the mass, development costs and recurring cost requirements, to identify risks and opportunities along the development. With a Masters degree in mechanical Engineering, you will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position. You will have knowledge in depth of mechanical static analyses NASTRAN, Ideas, HYPERMESH Stress, fatigue and damage tolerance anlyses Metallic and Composite structure dimensioning A first experience in Management of subcontracted activities, management of mechanical requirements will be an asset. Detailed technical planning of software production and validation activities Instruction, training and control of each team member to perform the assigned production and validation activities Tracking of completion status and initiation of corrective action to stay within cost, schedule and quality perimeters Technical contribution to software production and validation in critical areas Building of software version images for delivery to validation, AIT and customer teams Ensure identification of deviations of test results from agreed requirement baselines and raise of software modification requests to the software development team Elaboration of software production and validation documents according to agreed project standards Presenting and defending the production and validation activities results in milestone reviews with the customer Degree in information technology, electrial engineering or similar Planning and coordination experience for embedded SW coding andor validation activities preferred in avionics or space projects Several years experience in software production in C, C programming language and software validation according to Vmodel Sound experience in embedded software development and validation methodologies and technologies, preferred as a senior developer or software architect Development environment and tools for embedded software development Knowledge of typical software architecture and applications in satellite projects would be an advantage Experience with realtime operating systems preferred RTEMS Good communications skills in an international environment, written and verbal Structured, analytical working style English and German fluent negotiation level TO APPLY click here
