Integrated Lostistics Support ILS Engineer

Position description Are you motivated by the opportunity to work for Galileo? Galileo is Europes own global satellite system and currently consists of a constellation of 22 satellites. It is capable of providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The system is still under development and has recently entered the Exploitation Phase. To strengthen our team responsible for the Key Management Facility of the Galileo Mission Segment, we are looking for an ILS engineer. You will play a key role in developing a missioncritical systems for one of the most prestigious space programmes. Your future role and responsibilities The ILS Integrated Logistics Support Engineer is responsible and for ensuring all process are in place that the system designed can be built and maintained. ILS is a recognised discipline of management techniques in relation to Support costs including manpower, facilities, tools etc, Documentation, Training and Logistics over the life of the system being supported. The ILS Engineer is responsible to deliver a supportable system to the specified requirements maximising system up time and minimising cost. Your responsibilities include Maintenance of the System Product Tree. Preparation and maintenance of the ILS Plan. Preparation and Maintenance of a Obsolescence plan, including a Spares plan. Preparation of a Trainings Plan. Preparation of a system Maintenance Plan, making sure maintenance procedures are written. Responsible for the DRACAS Data Reporting and Criticality Analysis. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Essential qualifications At least two years of experience as an ILS Engineer. Professional attributes You have demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills while working in a team. Eligibility for an EU Personal Security Clearance at the level of CONFIDENTIAL and above is part of the selection procedure. Education and certification Bachelors degree with a focus on Information TechnologyCommunications, or equivalent. Affinity with hardware. INTEGRATED LOGISTIC ENGINEER ILSENGBE18 For our premises in Transinne we are looking for an INTEGRATED LOGISTIC ENGINEER To involve into activities related to Integrated Logistic Support activities. The resource will directly work with the Project Manager, Contract Manager and Technicians as well as Quality departments to monitor the Project KPIs and design logistic solutions for the space domain. In particular the resource will be involved in the strategic design of gather requirements, develop specifications, assist in implements modification to the technical documentation, documenting new processes and procedures, facilitate testing, training and user acceptance and oversee rollout of the solutions. Main tasks Monitor of the Key performance parameters KPI Define requirements to be adopted in the next phases of the programme Identify synergies with other aspects of the system engineering process and address tradeoffs that might rise. Security aspects will be considered Define critical parameters that have to be monitored e.g. Operational availability, Mean time between Maintenance, etc.. Document the outcomes of the tasks in analysis and tradeoff reports contributing to updating the system design and justification documents, and the system and segment and interface requirements documents. Assist with the creation, maintenance and optimization of specific database structures and content Requirements Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science At least 3 years working experience in similar role Knowledge of ILS and infrastructure monitoring topics Familiarity with system analysis documentation Knowledge of tools and technique for producing, maintaining project scheduling Experience in the production of reports and project KPIs, including identification of critical paths, activities interdependencies and schedule delays is mandatory Personal Skills Demonstrated ability to multitask, work under pressure, think analytically and communicate effectively Strong analytical, facilitation, and process mapping skills Familiar with standard application development methodologies and tools French Speaking Fluency in English Passion for the Space Domain. What can you expect? You will join the PRS Receivers Team and contribute to the ongoing development of the PRSOS SW Receiver and the EndToEnd Navigation Simulator. In that role you will be involved in various development activities where you will define, implement, and test navigation algorithms and features. With more than 60 engineers and almost 20 years of experience, the Airbus Navigation Department is one of the leading expert groups in Europe for the development and implementation of the European satellite navigation systems EGNOS and Galileo. In your daily activities you will Support the development of Galileo PRS and OS software receivers, algorithms, and features. Support the evolution of the Galileo system with respect to PRSOS navigation signals and performance. Operate and support the development of the EndToEnd Navigation Simulator for navigation signals performance analysis. Support the definition and development of new tools for navigation signals performance analysis. Define, plan, and conduct testing activities in laboratory as well as measurements campaigns. Interpret measured data and evaluate test results. Support requirements derivation for the Galileo PRS and OS software receivers. Create and maintain system engineering documents and technical reports. Contribute to new ideas and applications related to satellite navigation on PRS related aspects. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experiences Masters degree in an Engineering discipline such as Navigation, Telecommunication, Signal Processing, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or equivalent. Good theoretical knowledge of satellitebased navigation systems, navigation signals, receiver architecture and performance. Deep understanding of GNSS receiver technology and signal processing techniques inside GNSS receivers, such as acquisition, tracking, data demodulation, channel decoding, PVT computation, interference detection and mitigation. Experience with INS integration, sensors hybridization, and integrityRAIM algorithms. Proven experience in SW development and good knowledge of C. Ability to analyze complex technical problems and define innovative solutions. The candidate shall be in possession of a national security clearance or in the position to acquire one. A fluent level of English language is required. The knowledge of German language is considered an asset. Good communication skills and team working attitude.
