Start date and duration Starting ASAP on a one year contract. Customer and Location The position is for Airbus Defence and Space based in ImmenstaadFriedrichshafen. The location for this position is on one of the major sites of our client in Southern Germany. Airbus DS is one of the key players in the European satellite and launcher industries. At the Immenstaad site around 2500 people are employed, working on space and defence projects. The space division is specialized in Earth Observation, Navigation and Science. Tasks and Responsibilities The job holder is responsible for the following tasks Analysis and tracking of problem reports when importing or exporting data arise Definition and input of TM and TC Packets from the instrument software parameters into the Database Definition of Onboard Control Procedures within the Satellite Reference Database SRDB Matching the interfaces with the different users Spacecraft Instrument Operations, Simulator, Onboard Software, AIT Creation of outputs from the SRDB for different users, e.g. Simulator, instrument SW, AIT, and customers. Requirements Completed University degree Computer Science, Aerospace or comparable Programming experience, e.g. with Java Experience with, for example, Visual Basic desirable Practical knowledge in the area of databases as well as basic knowledge in onboard software and interfaces Basic knowledge of Avionics Good knowledge of MS Office Knowledge in the satellite reference database Range DB is desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different reference persons in a multinational environment The ability to work together in team assignments, to support each other, and to make standby compromises Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing German language skills are an advantage.
