Deere cuts profit outlook

Deere & Co., the largest maker of farm equipment, cut its 2015 earnings forecast as lower crop prices reduce farmer spending on high-horsepower tractors and combines in North America. Net income will be about $1.8 billion in the fiscal year through October, Moline, Illinois-based Deere said Friday in a statement.

Gap raises profit outlook as sales pick up in 4Q

The retailer says it expects to report a profit of $2.86 to $2.87 per share for the year, up from its previous estimate of $2.73 to $2.78 per share. Gap Inc. says its revenue fell in January as sales for its namesake brand slumped, but its Banana Republic and Old Navy brands reported improved results.
