Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) will launch Hot Melt market report, authored by ChemQuest, on July 1, 2016. Said report will focus on two key segments – packaging and hygiene segments – in the Hot Melt marketplace. According to ASC's Steve Duren, this report, "will include size and scope of the market, interviews with downstream customers, discuss key channels to market...and provide overview of key feedstocks that are the building blocks for Hot Melt Adhesive formulations."

ASC to launch industry awards program in 2017.

ASC Innovation in Application Award is being designed to highlight the use of adhesive or sealant technology in a new or novel application. Award will be overseen by ASC Membership Committee and is currently in product development. Committee is reviewing many ideas on how to approach this new program, and will be working on program with a goal of announcing it in October 2016, and awarding its first recipient at the Spring Convention and EXPO in 2017.

With 5 stops planned in 2016, program will showcase industry to prospective employees at universities and colleges that provide adhesives and sealants focus within their curriculum. Each ASC University Tour, featuring presentation, Q&A session, and informal networking opportunity, will share market size/scope, innovation orientation, and student career planning information with career-oriented students.
