Sprint adds 1.1 million net customers in Sept quarter
2015-11-03 14:24:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) Sprint added 1.1 million net customers in its second fiscal quarter, compared to 590,000 in the first quarter, as it recorded a low postpaid churn and saw growth in postpaid customers for the first time in more than two years. CEO Marcelo Claure said the quarter marked an inflection point in the company's turnaround strategy. The operator reported USD 8 billion of net operating revenue, down 6 percent on the year-earlier period. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 45 percent in a year to USD 2 billion in the quarter, as cost cuts more than offset the falling service revenue. Sprint improved its bottom line to a UDS 585 million net loss, compared to a USD 765 million net loss in its second fiscal quarter of 2014.
