Position Reference 714 We are currently looking for several Ground Segment Engineer to follow and support Galileos ground segment level engineering and evolution activities. This position is based in the following locations Toulouse, France Prague, Czech Republic Galileo is Europes Global Navigation Satellite System GNSS, providing improved positioning and timing information with significant positive implications for many European services and users. The objective of this role is to support the ground segment engineering activities. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Review of the technical documentation and ensure consistency with system level documentation. Interface with industrial andor institutional player and service operator for aspects related to operability improvements to be injected in future industrial contract amendments. Participate to the ground segment evolutions development reviews and CCB relevant to the tasks under herhis responsibility. Review of the technical documentation generated by technical assistance SETA team. Support the qualificationacceptance reviews of new releases of the Ground Segment up to services rollout. Contribute to the analysis of anomalies raised by the service operator and participate to the relevant anomaly review boards. Support the preparation of requirements, launch, and management of the procurements for the ground infrastructure. Support the assessment of the performance of the ground infrastructure industrial contractors, through the review of the relevant KPIs and deliverables, and propose actions and improvements to address issues and opportunities. Prepare and support the development and deployment of ground infrastructure related to additional EU space programme components. Support requirements engineering performed at system level. Support maintenance of system architecture diagrams managed at system level. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in Aerospace, Engineering or a relevant technical domain A minimum of 5 years of experience working in satellite ground segment engineering with demonstrated experience in Galileo. Experience in operations andor deployment of a complex system. Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Organised, dynamic and proactive. Security clearance EU Secret will be necessary, therefore only nationals of the EU countries will be considered for this role. Ability to travel on missions when needed to other locations. Tasks and Responsibilities In the System Support Division, the postholder will report functionally to the AWS Project Manager, and will be responsible for all aspects of the AWS Ground Segment. The postholder will coordinate with the System Support Division to ensure usage of common standards and methods, and access to the necessary resources on system support issues, where appropriate.
