Upper-level winds are not expected to be favorable for redevelopment of this system during the next several days. However, heavy rain and gusty winds are possible across portions of the northern Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hispaniola as the system moves west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent A tropical wave located south of the Cape Verde Islands is producing minimal shower activity.
