000 ABNT20 KNHC 232356 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 800 PM EDT Wed Aug 23 2017 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Harvey, located over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms extending across the Bahamas, southern Florida, and the adjacent waters are associated with a trough of low pressure. Development, if any, of this system during the next few days should be slow to occur while it drifts northward over Florida and the adjacent waters. Thereafter, some tropical or subtropical development is possible over the weekend while the system moves northeastward over the western Atlantic before it merges with a front. Regardless of development, very heavy rain and flooding is possible over portions of the Florida peninsula during the next few days.
