Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Assistance in preparation of invitation to tenders related to ESA RD. Activities and contracts technical followup. Specific engineering support to space projects developed by ESA andor by major European industriesoperators. Validation of designs by means of analyses, simulations, laboratory testing and field trials possibly in cooperation with third parties. Design, implementation and testing tasks for technological projects. Support the user terminal developments within the Iris project Support ARTES CG activities related to ground segment developments for telecom systems Support the preparation of the section RD technology roadmaps in the area of telecom systems and networks Support the section telecom lab activities Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a PhD or Msc Engineering from a recognised Institution of secondary studies University, Ecole suprieure, etc. or equivalent in Telecommunication Engineering with particular emphasis on digital communication system and subsystem techniques, highspeed processing techniques for communication via satellites. You have knowledge of satellite communication architectures and techniques. You have a good experience in analysis and design of modern digital communication systems, coding and synchronization issues. You are familiar with modern communication system and subsystem simulation techniques, as a minimum Matlab and CC program languages. You have good knowledge of modern prototyping and testing methodologies for digital communication subsystems is also preferred.
