Position Reference 562 You will have the opportunity to work within the Telecommunication Systems Division of ESA based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Assistance in preparation of invitation to tenders related to ESA RD. Activities and contracts technical followup. Specific engineering support to space projects developed by ESA andor by major European industriesoperators. Validation of designs by means of analyses, simulations, laboratory testing and field trials possibly in cooperation with third parties. Design, implementation and testing tasks for technological projects. The duties of this post will include activities in the following areas Telecom network standards and protocols SATCOM system and networks from Layer 2 and above Link layer computer simulations Telecom networking security Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a University degree Master or equivalent qualification in electrical, computer or telecommunications engineering. You have very solid background in Internet, secure IP and applicationsnetworking technologies. You have knowledge of SATCOM systems and networks from layer 2 and above and you are familiar with link layer computer simulations. The following skills would be highly desirable You have knowledge of modern computer systems, programming languages, and security testing and validation tool.
