We are currently looking for a Communications and Network Systems Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Communications and Network Systems Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Support the analysis and specification of a concept and roadmap for consolidating the WAN edge networks and interfaces Support the migration to a replacement WAN link to the ground station Propose a solution for integrating Internet Service Provider links from different providers and deliver the overall migration including all phases Develop and propose a concept for ensuring and sustaining the quality and performance of network solutions and services deployed on the network infrastructure Perform an analysis of the networks supporting the Monitoring and Control MC of network, computing and storage systems Support the migration of existing operational programspecific and shared facilities Upgrade the networks in remote sites as well as the connecting WAN links Support and contribute to the development and deployment of network solutions for the future satellite programs ground infrastructure. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant field Several years experience in network engineering Indepth knowledge of Cisco technology Working experience in highavailability, alwayson production environments, driven by high availability requirements Experience in procurement and supplier and service provider interaction Experience with VoIP would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
