We are currently looking for a Configuration Management Officer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Configuration Management Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In support of ESAs Directorate of Galileo Programme and navigation related activities at ESTEC you will have the following responsibilities Configuration management planning Configuration items identification, technical requirements base lining, production and maintenance of configuration item data list CIDL Management of configuration evolution, baselines verification, asbuilt control and inspections Establishing and maintaining configuration control methods, procedures and standards Preparing formal requirements for inclusion in industrial contracts Conducting configuration audits and configuration inspections Supervising the processing and disposition of Change Requests andor Change Proposals Providing status data and maintaining a well structured record system Establishing and maintaining the approval system for all documents under formal ESA control, and maintaining the associated DRLs and DRDs Supporting the supervision and maintenance of the documentation library and archives Proposing automated methods and tools required to increase performance of configuration and documentation control tasks. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in business administration or equivalent Several years relevant experience, ideally in the space sector Excellent knowledge and understanding of Configuration Management requirements and standards Excellent organisational and communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Noordwijk. We are looking for candidates who are available from January 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. Security clearance will be part of the selection process.
