For one of our main customers ESAESTEC, we are currently looking for a Configuration Management Officer, who will give support within ESAs Human Spaceflight and Operations Directorate in ESTEC Tasks and Responsibilities Configuration control covers both ESA internal activities and activities performed by Industrial Contractors. Review of engineering documentation and ensure consistency at configuration level between ESA and Industry Participate in Project Reviews by reviewing system engineering and configuration data, and coordinate the process for generation of discrepancies RIDs, final disposition by originators, closure and status tracking Conduct engineering and documentation configuration audits and support hardware configuration inspections, the latter in coordination with the product assurance function Act as secretary to Divisional Engineering and Verification Boards for 1. processing of changes, deviations and waivers 2. Coordinating the review of projects requirements closure, the verification control documents in coordination with the related interfaces with Industryies 3. Provide project action item lists and closure status Provide supervision and maintenance of the documentation library and archives within existing databases Coordinate with the appropriate engineering teams for updating the content of the configured baseline Support Divisional ISO 9001 activities. Experience and education Master degree in Engineering A minimum of 4 years previous experience in Configuration Management in Space Companiesorganisations A sound knowledge of configuration modification control systems and processes Experience in space system engineering and engineering processes control A good knowledge of the HSO directorates programmes Indepth knowledge of the Industry and ESA configuration management related working procedures and tools, like ECLPSE and its predecessor, DMS, the RID system for project reviews and DOORS for requirements verification Solid computer and database skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
