Cotton prices have further risen in the last week on the international market, mostly due to surging demand from Pakistan where domestic prices have eventually declined as a result of a rebound of cotton imports. The jump of polyester prices in China may also have supported demand for cotton in the past weeks. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index".
