Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices have dramatically fallen in the last week in New York, reflecting usual August volatility but also a lack of support from financial investors apparently convinced that prices will further fall below 80 cents. Cotton prices have also plunged in Pakistan where arrivals from the new crop could further depress cotton rates. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
