The Customer Service Engineer will provide technical support for the presales activities of various product lines and technical consultation to Telesats North America Sales Group. The incumbent will be responsible for the design and implementation of customer solutions working together with Engineering, Sales and Marketing. The Customer Service Engineer may also provide support to the International Sales and International Consulting Groups. Position Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of five years of related work experience in satellite communicationsExperience working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an indepth evaluation Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills Strong technical, presentation, and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written English communication skills Strong proposal writing and project management skills Ability to juggle priorities and make time sensitive technical decisions Ability to establish working relationships at all levels within Engineering, Sales and Marketing Experience with satellite link budget analysis Experience with RF equipment installation, operation and diagnostics Knowledge of TCPIP networking, VPN, VoIP, protocol acceleration, web caching and traffic management Experience with the following equipment RF spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers, routers, switches, firewalls, security related hardware and software, as well as various electronics lab and test equipment Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel Occasional travel to Teleport offices and customer sites Fluent in oral and written French would be an asset Clearance Requirements Canadian Controlled Goods CGP Clearance which requires a Criminal Record Name Check Ability to obtain Secret level clearance If you are interested in this opportunity please visit our website at www.telesat.com and submit your application online.
