Data Processing IVV engineer 1813050 Job Description We are looking for a Data Processing IVV engineer for a short term position at EUMETSAT to join the IVV team working on the integration and verification of the MTG ground segment. The period of the assignment is until March 2019. Any extension depends on the development of the overall MTG ground segment schedule. You will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures for the integration and verification of requirements, focusing on the Data Processing chain of the MTG ground segment. This will include Review and update the Test Specifications for MTG GS verification for the activities planned Generation of test proceedures Identification of required test tools and data Adapation or development of required test tools and data. Execution of IV V tests. Required Skills and Experience Experience in integration and verification of complex software systems including the development and execution of test procedures Experience in requirement engineering and verification Excellent communication skills both written and spoken. Documentation is to be provided in English, so strong technical English writing skills are required Flexible able to cope with a changing work schedule and load Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary environment Experience in satellite data processing systems ideally in earth observation missions Experience in test data generation, ideally for earth observation satellite missions Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 21 November 2018 Start of Work January 2019 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
