We are currently looking for a Data Processing Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Data Processing Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Supporting the operational MSG, MTP and EPS data processing systems Monitoring and reporting on the systems performance MSG and MTP Level 1 and Level 2 products and EPS Level 0 to Level 2 products Anomalies investigation relating to the system and products Preparing and reviewing technical documentation Providing Standby callout support Supporting the ongoing development of the data processing systems Operations preparations for future MSG and EPS spacecrafts Preparations for Meteosat Third Generation Attendance at technical meetings and Participation in formal reviews. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline Realtime EO data acquisition Level 0 processing and Level 1 processing of data andor Level 2 processing of data from imaging andor sounding instruments on remote sensing spacecraft Validating complex remote sensing data processing systems UNIXLinux operating systems Imaging and sounding instrumentation for remote sensing spacecraft Programming Languages e.g. C, C and Fortran Scripting Languages e.g. Perl, Python, shell Spacecraft andor ground segment operations Geophysical remote sensing data processing, e.g. Image Navigation and Registration INR, radiometric correction, calibration algorithms and retrieval of geophysical parameters Fluency in English knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
