Development Engineer Thermal Architecture Deadline for submission to Client 25082021 Job Description We are looking for a Development Engineer Thermal Architecture on behalf of our client for their location in Immenstadt, Germany. The successful applicant will be employed by ATG Europe and not by our Client. The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to Tasks and Responsibilities Provide requirements analysis and consolidation of thermal architecture for optical instruments for space application Technical supervision of the subsystemfunctional chain during the development and production phase Design of instrument development plan for thermal architecture Evaluate architecture solutions for optical instruments Consolidate thermal design according to project milestones PDR, CDR, etc. Responsible coordination of the assigned thermal disciplines mechanics construction and thermal analysis in the projectstudy Responsible interface of the technical discipline for the other disciplines in the project Identify influencing factors for technical risks, planning and costs Define and validate functional specifications for essential subsystems and components of the functional chainsubsystem Establish and validate the schedule and definition of the associated technical activities for the thermal architecture in accordance with the technical requirements Support to the optical instrumentation procurement management area Support in the instrument assembly, assembly and test phases Coordinate and execute thermal instrument tests Technical coordination in the discipline of all development steps that affect the definition and performance data of the instrument or subsystem Requirements Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification At least 3 years of professional experience in the discipline of thermal architecture of optical instruments At least 3 years of professional experience in the design, development and manufacturing of thermal hardware Extensive experience and indepth knowledge of thermal analysis and testing of optical instruments for space applications Professional experience of optical instruments under low temperature thermal environment would be advantageous Advanced level of German Business fluent in English Good communication skills to ensure the flow of information Ability to integrate into a team High level of responsibility, ability to work under pressure and organizational skills.
