Our UKbased client is a leading provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military space and airport operations. The Aerospace site includes Integrated Supply Chain operations and Engineering Technology as well as other support functions. It specializes in several product lines including environmental control systems, life support systems, hydraulics systems, and control and data systems. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Development Test Engineer. As part of the role you will be required to perform product developmentqualification test activities in the area of Test Services in support of the clients Aerospace businesses. The successful candidate will be expected to support the development of test solutions and conduct componentsystem testing of aircraft Environmental Conditioning Systems in particular temperature control, and pressurisation equipment, working across multiple functional boundaries to support initial product development through to aircraft certification. Additionally the engineer will be required to support Integrated Supply Chain test activities as required to meet business needs. This is a permanent position starting in March 2018. Tasks Assists with developing and implementing test solutions to support fault isolation and product investigations as appropriate. Supports the implementation of costeffective methods of testing, troubleshooting of systems and test equipment. Will liaise between engineering and Integrated Supply Chain to status current test program activities. Actively supports integration of product from engineering to production environment. Investigation and implementation of engineering documentation changes. Capable of working within small teams of skilled engineers on key projects. Capable of working to defined test plans and schedules. Executing Project Subtasks Assist product and process certification Ensure project and product compliance Presentations to leadership and customers Consult with vendors and suppliers Qualifications HNDDegree in mechanical engineeringaerospaceengineering Skills Proven and extensive experience working with aero ECS systems Good problem solving abilities, and example of doing so a logical approach to resolving test issues Ability to work autonomously and part of a wider team Knowledge of pneumatics systems within air based systems Flexible in your approach to working hours Strong IT Literacy e.g. Microsoft Office Strong communication skills Whats important to us?
