ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As the Engineer, Network Operations you will be working in the Operations Services Engineering group and will be responsible for the Implementation of cuttingedge global network products and services. The engineer will gain a broad knowledge of the SES Networks product range as well as SES Networks global core infrastructure. The primary objective of this role is to ensure SES Networks customers are provided the highest quality service throughout their lifecycle. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESKEY RESULT AREAS Participate in lifecycle of a customer project, Post Sales through to Customer Acceptance Configuration, testing, implementation of SES Products Work with Engineering Product Development Teams and support the growth of the SES portfolio Work efficiently as part of a Global multidisciplinary team, utilizing Follow the Sun methodology Responsible for SES Networks Core infrastructure operation and enhancement Develop procedures and training materials for the Network Operations Centre Accountable for network training given to the Network Operations Centre Interact with other operational groups and support coordination of projects Work with various other engineering groups and provide feedbackfeature request to improve customer products Interact with vendors to resolve problems and bugs, perform handson testing and troubleshooting Audit and assess network against customer service requirements and best practices Adhere to delivery schedules and manage time accordingly Development of internal technical support documentation and procedures Provide Level 3 support for Network Operations Centre Work with Network Planning on capacity management and reporting Integrate communication systems with multiple vendor components such as Xiplink products COMPETENCIES Performance Under Pressure Dedication Resilience Selfstarter Accountability Problem Solving Collaboration Customer service Global cultural awareness QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar required education can be subsided for experience Minimum 7 years of experience in IP networking required Satellite, telecommunications, and service provider environment experience preferred Ability to work off hours supporting different timezones for critical network implementation required Advanced experience with MPLS, Layer 2 3 VPNs, VPLS, Carrier Ethernet, CoS QoS, and IPsec required Advanced experience with TCPIP and routing knowledge BGP, OSPF, ISIS, BFD required Juniper JNCIPSP JNCIESP and Cisco CCNP CCIE certifications preferred Apply HERE
