It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for an EntryLevel Product Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence Space. This role can be based either in Hawthorn, Stevenage, Portsmouth, Newport, Toulouse, Elancourt. The purpose of the role is to provide a development opportunity in the role of Product Management with a path to becoming a Product Manager. The role is initially to have a rotation with the difference product areas and support for the various products offered from Secure Communications to the Government UK and ROW markets. The role will allow the Junior Product Manager to experience working with each of the product domains over period between 18 and 24 months gaining valuable insight and experience to apply in a Product Management role. This role will provide experience from monitoring of existing products with a view to increasing the user experience, profitability, and quality of service to developing new products for the business and enhancing the portfolio. You will develop products from new ideas. You will develop a unique blend of business and technical understanding a bigpicture vision, and should possess the drive to make that vision a reality. You should enjoy spending time with customers and understanding their problems, as well as finding innovative solutions for the broader market. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Supporting the Product Management team within product areas. Managing the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. Capture customer requirements and needs. Analyse competitive offers and develop a product benchmark. Specifying new services, features, products and processes. Developing and implementing a gotomarket plan, working with Marketing and Intelligence Pricing teams. Launch and rollout product plan and schedule in close partnership with internal stakeholders. Monitor and suggest improvements to the financial and technical performance of the Product. Improve customer experience, quality of service, service usage and optimize activation process. Increase product penetration and usage. Attend Phase reviews for the product. Be the internal customer and conduct user trials before product commissioning. Champion the product provide training and familiarisation to the Sales teams. Provide product updates and enhancement communications, brochures, fact sheets, white papers. Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues to address any issues that may arise. Promote products externally with support of sales and Marketing. Maintain the product promotion in the portfolio. Develop a sound understanding of the product commercial aspects pricing strategies, costs, margins. Propose actions to increase margins renegotiation of tariffs, improvement efficiencies, new price schemes. The role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be willing and able to travel accordingly mainly in Europe. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Business Degree with first experience ideally in the SpaceAerospaceTelecom industry. Experience in Product Management Development. Experience or understanding of Product Marketing and Promotion. Basic understanding of Financial metrics and measures Awareness of Secure Communications industry. Basic understanding of Satellite Communications. Experience of working in diverse international teams. Good communications and organisational skills. Good presentation skills. Empathy towards customers.
