HE Space is a successful international space company. For 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Radio Navigation System Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. GNSS Navigation System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Galileo Project team you will be working in the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management DTEC at ESAESTEC. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Analyse and test navigation systems, segments, elements, technology, dissemination and navigation algorithms, including tools development Evaluate navigation, positioning, timing algorithm and techniques, usersystemsegment performance assessment based on software simulators, laboratory and field measurements Study, design, analyse and test navigationpositioningrangingmonitoring technology and receiver, signal and signal processing techniques ad well as navigation receiverstechnology for terrestrial applications and local augmentation Definition procurement design, testing, usage of Radio Navigation equipment in support to Radio Navigation experiments and test campaigns Support the implementation and coordination of the activities related with the monitoring and analysis of the performance of the various services offered through the Galileo SignalinSpace Definition of SIS Service Validation Plans defining the tools and the processes to be used to measure the SIS Service Key Performance Indicators KPIs Coordinate activities required to monitor continuously the SIS Service Performance KPIs Analyse the impact on the service during the deployment of the system and propose priorities on the Operational Plans to minimize SIS outages Conduct comparative analysis of GNSS SIS performance. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Knowledge of the design and testing of Radio Navigation systems and equipment Experience at user level with satellite navigation receivers and satellite navigation positioning and integrity algorithms Several years experience relevant to the GNSS1 andor GALILEO systems and equipment and good knowledge of Radio Navigation simulation and testing systems Strong experience in the implementation, maintenance and operation of complex Radio Navigation simulation and test facilities Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
