Serco Nederland BV is looking for Configuration Control Officer to support to Programmes and Projects managed at ESTEC in the area of Business Management Administration Functions This is an Administrative task, but would suit someone with an Engineering background who wishes to take an administrative role or someone with a good understanding of the engineering tasks involved Task Overview Configuration control covers both ESA internal activities and activities performed by Industrial Contractors. The preparation of adequate requirements and Configuration Management CM systems auditing are also part of the tasks and includes the following typical duties Establishing adequate processes for proper Product configuration control, including Configuration management planning, Configuration items identification, technical requirements base lining, production and maintenance of configuration item data list CIDL, Management of configuration evolution, baselines verification, asbuilt control and inspections Establishment of configuration control methods, procedures and standards Establishing andor assuring that adequate configuration control methods, procedures and standards are established andor maintained, consistent with applicable standardsrequirements Preparing formal requirements for inclusion in industrial contracts Participating in Project Reviews Conducting configuration audits and configuration inspections Supervising the processing and disposition of Change Requests andor Change Proposals Providing status data and maintaining a well structured record system acting as secretary to appropriate Boards established for the processing of changes Establishing and maintaining the approval system for all documents under formal ESA control, and maintaining the associated DRLs and DRDs Supporting the supervision and maintenance of the documentation library and archives Proposing automated methods and tools required to increase performance of configuration and documentation control tasks. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a Masters Degree in Engineering or equivalent or MBA or equivalent degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Essential skills Experience in controlling andor management of activities and resources in aerospace industry, for some tasks this may require knowledge of FinanceAccounting Good sense of contacts and communications, ability to interface at appropriate level with relevant staff within and outside of the Directorate. Reliability, rigor and initiative in the execution of the assigned work Proactive attitude to solving problems, identify priority actions and to handle high workload. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and stringent schedule Highly proficient in the use of IT resources, management support toolsdatabases, office automation support packages including Ms Office, in particular advanced use of Excel Experience, as user, of SAP and in particular ECC and SRM modules and familiarity with relevant ESA corporate applications e.g. ESAp is an asset. Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment, including ESA corporate IT applications Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, knowledge of another official ESA language is an asset High level of initiate autonomy and professional maturity that is required to carry out complex tasks and high level of responsibility Desirable Past experience with ESA in relevant activities is an asset.
