INSYEN AG is based at the German Space Operations Center GSOC in Oberpfaffenhofen, 25 km west of Munich, Germany. We currently have more than 50 employees from 15 nations andprovide engineering services related to manned and unmanned spaceflight operations in the areas of project and subcontractor management, ground systems engineering and management, LAN and WAN design and implementation, system security and data encryption, system databases, command and telemetry systems, voice and video systems, system management and operation, spacecraft systems monitoring and control and realtime space operations. Furthermore our software engineers are working on a 3D Visualisation and Simulation Software which is e.g. used for remote sensing, sensor simulations and virtual training. We are currently looking for an engineer to fill a position as Galileo Ground Operations Engineer Start dateJanuary 2015 Requirements Academic degree in engineering or equivalent qualification Experience in space and constellation operations Knowledge of the Galileo system and project advantageous Good teamworking and communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English German would be an asset The general scope of duties will include the following tasks Preparesupportexecute validation activities. Definition of validation scenarios, plans, etc. Procedure development and validation, testing, result reporting Preparesupportexecute software engineering activities maintenance, support, script development etc. Develop concepts and scripts to facilitate routine operations SW maintenance tasks for all GCS elements Ensuresupport databases coordination, synchronisation, verification Support training and simulation campaigns, develop and customize training documentation Monitor performance of ground services and trigger corrective actions Generate and maintain ground operations documentation Interface to the management, ground and flight operations team Taking over the ground position and execution duties support of nominal and contingency operations during Commissioning, IOT and routine phase, incl. shift and oncall Preparation of and participation in SVTSCTCs and simulations Anomaly Reports handling writing, action processing, support of review boards Operations Support including MOIS application and software Offline analysis of the subsystem performance Ground Operations Planning.
