JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The primary mission of the GRC Galileo Reference Center is to perform independent monitoring of the Galileo OS and CS data dissemination performances, providing GSA with independent means of evaluating the performance of the Galileo Service Operator GSOp and quality of the signals in space. The GRC building will be located in Noordwijk and it will host the GRC Operations, which will be carried out by the GRC Operations Team. In addition, the Operations Team will perform dedicated campaignbased analyses, making use as well of data, products and expertise contributed by the MS. Among the experimentation activities, the GRC Operations will use data from a Medium Gain antenna to Analyse The signal spectrum The signal power received The signal modulation Quality Correlation losses and multipath Interferences from other GNSS systems The Operations Team will be composed by the GRC Operations Manager and several GRC Operations Engineers, whose responsibilities are summarized below GRC Mission monitoring, including data acquisition, archiving and reference products Generation Problem reporting and Resolution Attendance to NRBs Experimentation activities Service performance investigations RD activities Support request investigations Refinement of the GRC Operation Procedures Qualifications MsC in engineering, physics, maths or similar Required knowledge System operations automated and manual Knowledge of procedures development, implementation and application, Knowledge in GNSS systems and data processing Expertise on GNSS signal processing Experience operating GNSS Signal Simulators Knowledge or interest in GNSS algorithms and SW development Proficient in Unix andor Linux, shell scripting languages, C andor C, matlab. Desirable Knowledge Experience in the Galileo program Experience with operations of GNSS receivers Expertise of Linux, network services and protocols, and computer peripherals Dutch Experience 5 years WHAT DO WE OFFER?
