Vacancies for Galileo Galileo Operations Engineering Service Managers mf have arisen within Airbus Defence Space in MunichTaufkirchen. Successful applicants will join Galileo Operations Bid. Please note that the work location will be either the Galileo Control Centres in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany or in Fucino, Italy. As members of the Airbus GSOp Operations, Engineering and Service Delivery team, you will undertake technical and managerial tasks and duties as required in order to maintain high availability of the signals broadcast by the Galileo satellites. You will represent Airbus GSOp in meetings with the representatives of the GSA supporting deployment and operation of Galileo Control System, Mission System and Network elements at the GCCs and other sites. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Building and leading teams of technical experts within their area of responsibility Planning and executing Space, Ground and Mission Segment routine operations activities Planning and executing Space, Ground and Mission Segment contingency operations as required Planning and executing introduction into service of modifications and upgrades to Space, Ground and Mission Segment elements, ranging from minor software patches to largescale system upgrades Being responsible for anomaly investigation, tracking and followup activities Being responsible for the status of the Flight Operations Plan, Ground Operations Plan and Mission Operations Plan Supporting regular oncall service as Duty Operations Manager for the system Interfacing with other internal and external teams We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to degree level in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent Extensive experience in Space and Ground Segment Operations Several years of experience in relevant technical management positions Experience in Galileo Operations or Engineering would be an advantage Good knowledge of MS Office Good leadership as well as interpersonal and communication skills Negotiation level of English German andor Italian skills would be an advantage Please apply online for this vacancy at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
