HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Ground Stations Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Ground Stations Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the RSO Division, you will have the following responsibilities Ground segment procurements for the future programmes including analysing concepts, requirements, designs and reviewing documentation Analysing and writing requirements for all aspects of future ground segments Definition, procurement and testing of ground station, satellite and associated ground segment MC functions for the MTG programme and future evolutions of existing programmes Supporting and witnessing IVV testing for future programmes, and evolutions of existing ground stations Definition and maintenance of operations procedures, including ground segment procedures and operations guides Liaison with the spacecraft operations team to ensure the continuity and optimisation of spacecraft monitoring and control activities, participation in technical meetings, formal reviews, scheduling and planning meetings and Anomaly Review Boards Day to day operations of current and future ground stations including daytoday planning, monitoring and first line anomaly investigations Processing and coordination of ground station anomalies, their documentation, investigation, classification and resolutionmitigation Analysis of ground station obsolescence, and upgrade paths within a 247 operations environment Provision of training, through written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations and Engineering Teams. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline and at least three years experience in the procurement phase of ground stations for satellite monitoring and control and mission data reception Three years experience in the definition, development, integration, acceptance testing, operations preparation, operations of ground segment station monitoring control systems and defining and implementing the verification and validation of ground segment system Five years experience in a realtime spacecraft operations environment Operational usage of ground stations monitoring and control software, its configuration and validation Familiarity with ECSS and CCSDS standards related to spacetoground interfaces applicable to Satellite Monitoring Control Systems Knowledge of MC systems such SCOS, EPOCH, LabView or equivalent HCIMMI design, usage and standards Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
