Polyester and viscose staple fiber prices have fallen slightly in India, over weak demand from spinners and pressure from import prices. The state-run CCI has about 1.5 million metric tons of cotton in warehouses. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices, and offering the latest trends of spinners' margins. [ more ]
