Cotton yarn prices have surged in the last week in India, whereas blended yarn prices were also soaring over a recovery in demand for textile products. The cotton rally of the previous weeks has triggered this sudden jump in prices. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab).
