Cotton yarn prices have begun to drop in India, after previously rocketing over a lack of supply. Demand has collapsed amid extreme volatility in business activities. Many yarn prices are also reviewed, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester, 100% viscose, and 100% acrylic. Organic and BCI cotton fiber and yarn prices are available. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices to assess the latest trends in margins of Indian spinners. [ more ]
