HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a MCS Development, Test and Validation Engineer to support our customer ESAESOC in Germany. MCS Development, Test and Validation Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The European Space Operations Centre ESOC is the main mission control centre for the European Space Agency ESA and provides satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will be working in the Data System Infrastructure Division OPSGI and have the following responsibilities Review of technical documentation and verification of compliance to the applicable requirements Production and maintenance of technical documentation, including test plans Collaboration with the Technical Officers for the acceptance tests activities of the main systems deliveries and patches Definition and execution of manual and automated test cases Support to users of infrastructure systems, including troubleshooting of reported problems Measurement of systems performance Production of test reports documenting the outputs of the systems acceptance test activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline Several years of professional experience working in a similar position Competence in modern computer languages such as C, C, Java, XML, SQL, IDL and scripting languages Familiarity with modern software development environments and systems Familiarity with LINUX environments and IP based network environments Knowledge and experience in databases administration, software engineering and documentation Familiarity with the ESOC infrastructure applications belonging to the Mission Control domain, in particular with SCOS2000, would be an advantage Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
