We are currently looking for a MTG Ground Segment System Engineering Consultantto support our customer in Germany. MTG Ground Segment System Engineering Consultant Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will support the ground segmentrelated activities for the phase CD of the MTG programme with the following tasks Management of the requirements baseline, including for changes, deviations and waivers Completion of the detailed design of the ground segment system, including analyses architectural tradeoffs, system technical budgets, risk analyses Evaluation of results of studies internal or external and related engineering proposals for the ground segment detailed design Support to finalisation and subsequent maintenance of the ground segment internal interfaces definition Support to finalisation and subsequent maintenance of the ground segment system level design Support to preparation of the ground segment system and constituent parts assembly, integration and verification detailed planning Participation in reviews and meetings at system, ground segment system and element level Support to the preparation and maintenance of schedule, resource allocations and Work Breakdown Structures for system engineering activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering science or equivalent Several years of professional experience in spacerelated ground systems Experience in two of the following fields networking communications, ground stations, near realtime data processing, monitoring and control of satellites, monitoring and control of ground systems Experience in systemlevel analyses from an endtoend perspective Experience in preparation of system requirements and design documentation as well as integration and verification of these systems Experience in configuration control processes and tools as well as software engineering Knowledge of ECSS standards Ability to work in a team and in cooperation with industry and partner agencies Excellent written and interpersonal skills Fluency in English is mandatory.
